The money is to help victims of gun and gang violence, human trafficking
The Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre in St. Catharines is to receive $87,800 in provincial funding.
The Centre supports young victims, witnesses, survivors, and their families, of gun and gang violence, including human trafficking.
The government says this is part of over $1.4-million for communities province-wide.
The Centre's Executive Director Brian Bratt says the money will help in critical support of underage victims living in rural areas through no-cost, one-to-one virtual therapy sessions.

Funding from the government also supports community coordination, as the government says family violence against children and youth increased 38% from 2014 to 2022.
The money helps provide accessible resources for young victims and their families to navigate the justice system, as well as specialized training for staff.
