Another opportunity for the City of St. Catharines to find more help in flood cleanup efforts.
Mayor Mat Siscoe and others will spend Sunday to Wednesday at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference in Ottawa, meeting with provincial officials.
The city says the province has provided volunteers, including visits by the premier and other ministers.
The mayor will ask for the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program to be activated, also make sure that program evolves as storms get worse, and increase funding for St. Catharines' flood alleviation program.
The list will also include more to support sewers and drainage construction.
Besides flooding, the city and province will look for more land to build homes on, and discuss support for homelessness and addiction.
