Man hospitalized for what was believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Police are asking for the public's help to find a stabbing suspect.
Around 10:55 p.m. last night, officers were called to a home near McAlpine Avenue South and Hagar Street in Welland.
A man in his 20s was found with serious stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital and underwent treatement for what was believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Police say a man went into the basement of the home and got into an argument with the victim.
The suspect left before police arrived.
Paul Rodney Junior Witter, 24, of Toronto, is wanted on weapon and assault charges.
Witter is described as:
- Black male
- 6’ ft. tall
- Approximately 165 lbs. slender build
- Black short, braided hair
- Brown eyes
- Goatee / moustache
- Brown eyes
- Scar near left eye
He previously used the aliases "Jordan Holbert", "Jordan Stackz" or "Junior Whitter".
Anyone who spots him is advised to call police, and refrain from approaching him.
