The NDP has released the name of the Niagara Falls candidate in the next federal election.
Brian Barker, President of the Niagara area Elementary Teacher's Federation of Ontario, has been named as the party's candidate in the riding.
Barker was an NDP candidate in 2019, and in a post on his Facebook page, he says he plans to fight for all Niagara residents.
"Looking forward to fighting for the residents of Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Fort Erie and all communities in between...I am ready to fight for our constituents to ensure that everyone can prosper."
Earlier today, Reuters sources reported that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is planning to call an election this Sunday.
Currently, Conservative Tony Baldinelli represents the riding, and Andrea Kaiser would run for the Liberals.
