Police are asking residents to check credit reports, and call them if you believe this suspect was at your house
An Etobicoke man has been arrested after mail was stolen from the mailboxes of some Welland homes.
Police were called last week, and on Wednesday arrested 31-year old Huguens Charlescat, charged with two counts of theft from mail.
He had a bail hearing yesterday, but remains in jail.
Police are asking if you live in Welland, and believe the man was at your house, call Equifax and Trans Union to make sure no unauthorized credit cards were opened in your name.
If you have evidence your mail has been stolen, or victim of fraud, call police.
Also, keep an eye on credit reports, to make sure no unauthorized loans have been opened in your name.
