They say officials are monitoring the situation, especially with tourist season right around the corner.
Town and City Staff have been going over emergency procedures and business continuity plans.
This will ensure safe and seamless service, if the situation were to change.
Both municipalities will follow Niagara Region Public Health's plan for coronavirus prevention and communication.
They have also been on contact with the major organizations in the tourism sector, to make sure they have their own protocols and procedures in place.
They say the risk remains low in Niagara, adding we have no confirmed cases of the COVID-19 so far.
