Union says Canada Border Services Agency needs thousands of more officers

The ArriveCAN app may be a thing of the past come this weekend, but it might not spell the end to border delays.

The president of the Customs and Immigration Union warning that if travel volumes start to increase there will be significant delays at U-S border points.

Mark Weber says the Canada Border Services Agency needs thousands of more officers.

He says chronic staffing shortages mean long waits at the border won't necessarily disappear on Saturday when travelers no longer need to use the ArriveCAN app.
