First rowing medal in event since 1992 games
Canada's female athletes have done it again.
Our medal count has climbed to 10 with our first rowing medal of the Tokyo Olympics.
Caileigh Filmer and Hillary Janssens took bronze today in the women's pair.
The 2018 world champs finished less than two seconds behind the gold medal-winning duo from New Zealand.
Filmer and Janssens are the first Canadians to medal in the event since Marnie McBean and Kathleen Heddle won gold at the 1992 Games in Barcelona.
Canada now has two Gold medals, three Silver and five Bronze.
