Body discovered in Lake Ontario.
Police are investigating after the body of a man was discovered near Niagara-on-the-Lake.
A local resident made the discovery around 5:45 p.m. yesterday while fishing on a boat in Lake Ontario.
Investigators say the body was found about 10 km north of Niagara-on-the-Lake between the Welland Canal and the Niagara River.
Vessels from the Canadian Coast Guard and the NRPS Marine Unit were brought in, and the body was taken to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto.
