Wayne Gates says frontline workers are still putting themselves at risk every day.
The Niagara Falls MPP is calling on the Ford Government to make pandemic pay increases permanent for these workers.
He says major companies like Loblaws paid their employees extra and praised them for being heroes, but took away their raises once the cameras were off.
He also says frontline healthcare workers have done everything they can to keep the healthcare system functioning during the pandemic.
"Despite lack of PPE, respect and pay - these frontline workers have done everything they can to keep those in healthcare safe from the virus. It is time to do more than just call these workers heroes. It's time to treat them with the respect that heroes deserve."
