If you're taking a walk along the beach at Crystal Beach, you'll notice a newly sculpted 25-foot long humpback whale, made of sand.
Roman Ber lives nearby, and came across a woman who was commissioned by the Town of Fort Erie to make the sculpture.
He says she started the work on Tuesday. "So, it's almost finished, and when that's done, there's another mound of sand that she'll construct a Fowler's Toad. So, there'll be 2 sand sculptures."
He adds Karen has been sculpting for over 30-years.
"Since the Fowler's Toad is an endangered species, they weren't allowed to use heavy equipment to move the big sand dunes, that were left there over the winter. So, they decided they might as well make some use out of it."
