Checkpoints set up in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines
A few drivers given licence suspensions this weekend after going through RIDE check points in Niagara.
This happened Saturday night in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines, police looking for anyone consuming alcohol or drugs before driving.
They stopped 320 vehicles, and had 35 drivers provide a breath sample.
Four resulted in an alert, meaning a 7-day licence suspension.
Police also handed out 15 other traffic offences, including for one for driving while suspended, that vehicle was impounded for 7-days.
Another was arrested for breaching a provincial probation order.
