Vehicles Turned Away from Drive-Thru Santa Claus Parade in Niagara Falls

Over 700 vehicles got to drive by Santa Claus on Queen Street in Niagara Falls.

Lots of families decided to participate in the reverse parade on Saturday, but some weren't able to make it through the long lineup before everything shut down.

The City has issued an apology on it's Facebook page.

It says officials weren't expecting the parade to be so popular, adding families from across the Region showed up for the pandemic friendly event.

"We regret that we were unable to accommodate everyone who came downtown for the event and apologize to every family who was left waiting to see Santa Claus."

The organizers will discuss the matter during the event debrief.
