After just a little more than a week of talks, General Motors and the union representing its workers have reached a tentative contract agreement. Unifor says the deal covers more than 4,600 workers at its plants in St. Catharines, Woodstock, Ingersoll and Oshawa. The tentative agreement comes on the heels of a deal with Ford that included an annual three per cent wage increase for workers and a renewal of non-closure agreements. Details of the contract with GM are not available, but union members will vote on it August 29th and 30th. Next up for contract negotiations is Stellantis.
