Salit Steel in Niagara Falls will no longer be in operation
A steel company that's been in Niagara Falls for decades is closing its doors on Stanley Avenue.
Salit Steel will be moving its operations to other locations throughout Niagara.
The company is blaming market conditions for the move, adding they do have a buyer for the property.
It's been family owned since 1905, with locations in Ontario, Quebec, Western Canada and the US, with headquarters on Stanley Avenue for decades.
Salit Steel contributed to the new South Niagara hospital.
