St. Catharines City Council has approved a 1.86 percent tax increase for 2021.
This means the average homeowner will pay about $30 extra on the city's portion of their tax bill next year.
The average home in the Garden City is valued at $254,000.
Council also approved an operating budget and a capital budget for 2021 last night.
The capital budget is worth about $40-million.
