Public High School Teachers to Strike Across 10 School Boards Today

The District School Board of Niagara will not be affected by today's one-day strike.

It will only impact 10 school boards across the province;

- Lakehead District School Board
- Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board
- Lambton Kent District School Board
- Thames Valley District School Board
- Waterloo Region District School Board
- Waterloo Catholic District School Board
- York Region District School Board
- York Catholic District School Board
- Halton District School Board
- Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board

Everything should be business as usual in Niagara, but you can expect to see information pickets outside our local schools.

Harvey Bischof, the President of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation, says a government-appointed mediator decided to end contract talks because both sides were too far apart to continue.
