An 83 year old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in St. Catharines.
Niagara Regional Police Services was called to the scene last night just after 5:00 p.m.
They say that the man was attempting to cross Carlton Street from north to south near Grantham Avenue when he was struck by a white Mazda 3 traveling eastbound on Carlton Street.
The victim was transported to an out of region hospital.
The driver of the Mazda was not hurt.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Niagara Regional Police Services.
