Train windshield shattered after it was hit with an unknown object.
The NRP is trying to identify a suspect after a CN Train in Grimsby was damaged.
Just before 8 PM on September 17th, police were called to the westbound CN tracks near the Oakes Road North crossing.
Police say they met with a train conductor, who told them the windshield was hit with an unknown object as the train was traveling.
The windshield shattered, causing minor injuries to the conductor.
A person of interest was seen at the railway crossing just before the damage occurred.
He is described as a white male between 16 and 20 years old.
The man was seen running from the area holding what appeared to be a flashlight emitting from a cell phone.
The next day, police came back to the scene and found golf balls on the tracks.
However, police have not confirmed that the damage was caused by golf balls.
Detectives are asking nearby residents to review any security footage they may have and call police if they see anything suspicious.
Anyone with information can call the NRP at 905-688-4111, option #3, extension #1009023.
