Students at both campuses will be able to charge their vehicles for free.
Staff and students at Niagara College will be able to charge electric vehicles at both of its campuses.
Six new charging stations have been installed at the Welland campus, in addition to the 14 charging stations at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus.
"Through the addition of these new EV charging stations, Niagara College hopes to support community members who own or are considering electric and hybrid vehicles," said Brian Hughes, acting Senior Director, Facilities Management. "This is one way the College is investing in green technology to make our campuses more sustainable."
Charging for students will be free, though an idle fee will take effect 45 minutes after a full charge.
