Niagara Catholic officials say, in keeping with provincial protocols, all elementary students will spend next week learning from home online.
Teacher-led remote learning will begin for students in grades K to 8, Monday afternoon and continue until January 8th.
Students are expected back in class January 11th
Secondary schools will be closed to in person learning from January 4th to the 22nd.
The board says currently the date for high school students to return to in person classes is January 25th.
Elementary students with the DSBN will also learn from home remotely between January 4th and the 8th and secondary students will make their return to class on January 25th.
Last week, Premier Ford announced additional restrictions in the battle against COVID-19 which requires all publicly funded and private elementary and secondary schools to move to teacher led remote learning starting on January 4th.
