Niagara-on-the-Lake is now the second municipality in the Region with a mandatory mask bylaw.
It goes into effect today after the bylaw was passed by town council last week.
The bylaw follows the same guidelines as the one already in place in St. Catharines.
People with a medical condition making them unable to wear one will be exempt, so will kids 10 and under.
The bylaw applies to all indoor public spaces and the mask must cover your nose, mouth and chin.
It also covers places like restaurants and gyms, but you will be allowed to remove your mask while eating, drinking and doing fitness activities.
