It was a very insightful presentation, all about addressing homelessness in Niagara.
The Region welcomed special guest speaker Iain De Jong to the Scotiabank Convention Centre earlier today.
He's a professor and researcher, known for his work towards ending homelessness in Canada and the United States.
De Jong discussed strategy and planning with local stakeholders.
He also talked about the best ways to educate the public, in order to move towards positive social change.
A handful of local politicians were there; including Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati, St. Catharines Mayor Walter Sendzik, and Regional Chair Jim Bradley.
