Ontario will pause for a moment of silence at 1 p.m.
The service for the late Queen Elizabeth the Second is underway, launching a day full of events commemorating her life.
It's been declared a public holiday in the U-K in honour of Elizabeth, and crowds have filled parks and public spaces to watch the service on screens.
Here in Canada it's a federal holiday and national day of mourning.
Ontario is not recognizing the holiday but will pause for a moment of silence today at 1 p.m.
Due to the holiday we won't see postal delivery today, and there are a few municipalities in Niagara that are closed today.
Municipal offices in Fort Erie, Port Colborne and Thorold are all closed.
Following the funeral, the Queen's coffin will be brought through the capital's streets to Wellington Arch near Hyde Park.
It will be placed in a hearse to be driven to Windsor Castle for another procession before a committal service in St. George's Chapel.
