Niagara Region Public Health is reporting five new COVID-19 infections today.
There are 48 active cases and one active outbreak.
Niagara Health officials note four patients are fighting the virus in local hospitals, and none of them are in the ICU.
Over 596,000 vaccinations have been administered in the region.
