The DSBN says that they are prepared in the event that winter break is extended for students.
At this time, students are due back in school on January 4th, but they warn that Public Health or the Ministry of Education may op for a longer break.
The school board says in that case, elementary school students would be given access to learning materials on the DSBN's website.
They also say that homeroom teachers will be reaching out to parents during the first week of class.
For secondary school students, they will continue with the online component of their classes.
They also advise that students should grab all personal belongings from their desks and lockers in the event of an extended break.
