The Niagara Parks Commission will receive a $25 million loan from the Ford Government to redevelop the Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station.
The money will help transform the 115-year-old building into a thriving tourist attraction, complete with a new viewing platform.
Visitors will also be able to learn more about Ontario’s power generating history.
Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Lisa McLeod was in Niagara Falls yesterday for the big announcement.
The first phase of the redevelopment should wrap up in July 2021.
