Niagara's death toll now at 446.
For the second day in a row, Niagara Region Public Health is reporting a COVID-19 death, along with 174 new cases.
Officials say the area's death toll is now at 446, following the death of a person in the 60-79 age group.
As well, Public Health says it has it's first laboratory-confirmed Omicron cases.
There are 886 active cases in Niagara, including 227 in St. Catharines and 179 in Niagara Falls.
There are also 10 active outbreaks.
More than 816,000 vaccinations have been administered in Niagara.
About 84.5 percent of eligible Niagara residents have at least one dose, and 79.8 percent have two.
