Fundraiser for victim's family has surpassed its original goal
A candlelight vigil will be held this evening for a migrant farm workers struck and killed earlier this week while walking in St. Catharines.
Thirty-six year old Fermin Santo Sanchez was one of three Spring Valley Gardens workers struck by an SUV while walking with their bikes on the side of Seventh Street Louth Monday night.
Friends of Sanchez have organized a candlight vigil tonight starting at 7 at Spring Valley Gardens on Seventh Street.
A gofundme to raise money to help Sanchez’s wife and family has raised over $37,000 as of this morning.
