St. Catharines and Lincoln partnered on tourism initiatives, and were recognized with provincial award
It appears St. Catharines and Lincoln are doing something right, as a team, when it comes to tourism.
Back in 2024, the two municipalities joined for a Destination Marketing Organization, to bring people together pushing Niagara's tourism attractions.
Earlier this month in Toronto, the Economic Development Council of Ontario Award of Excellence was handed out.
The event celebrates the most impactful and innovative economic development initiatives across Ontario, the St. Catharines/Lincoln win for leadership in showing what the region has.
In its first year, the partnership generated 40-million marketing impressions, gained cost savings, and the Municipal Accomodation Tax, or MAT, helped fund tourism initiatives.
