Provinces launching new at home testing initiative
Some high schools in the Niagara Region have been chosen as part of a new pilot project the Ford government hopes will help students quickly identify infected with COVID-19.
Under the program high school students will be given an at-home COVID test if they are part of an outbreak or a cohort experiencing symptoms.
The pilot project will run from September 7th to October 29th at some schools in 13 public health units across the province including Niagara
In a memo, the province say participation is voluntary and students won't have to disclose their vaccine status to get a testing kit.
Completed tests can be dropped off at schools where they will be picked up by a courier and sent to a lab for processing
