It's the calm before the snow storm in Niagara.
Environment Canada says we can expect a couple centimetres of snow tonight.
It should continue into tomorrow, and it could be mixed with rain and freezing rain.
Meteorologist Peter Kimbell says we'll get the worst of it in the evening hours.
"We will get some periods of heavier snow, probably during the evening hours Wednesday after the low goes by and the winds shift to the north-west."
Environment Canada is predicting 5cm to 15cm of snow, but Kimbell believes it will be closer to 10cm to 15cm.
The snow should taper off Thursday morning. Kimbell says we can expect blowing snow afterwards, thanks to the windy weather in the forecast.
He adds the snow might not stay for long.
"The snow will stick around for sure this weekend because we'll have pretty cold temperatures. But with milder temperatures in store next week, we could see a lot of that disappear again."
