Two local women are organizing a peaceful demonstration outside City Hall in Niagara Falls.
Angela Peebles and Debra Jackson are putting together the gathering, saying council is an "old boys club" and to show support for women in politics.
They claim the men sitting on council undermined an attempt to pass a mask bylaw at the last council meeting in Niagara Falls.
The motion was brought forward by councillors Carolynn Ioannoni and Lori Lococo.
The #NotMyMayor demonstration is at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, right before Regional Council is to discuss a mandatory mask bylaw.
The women have launched a Facebook Group and are asking people to bring signs to the peaceful rally.
