Bargaining talks between the province and the union representing education workers continues today.
Premier Doug Ford told reporters this morning that he is presenting the union with an "improved" offer, but did not go into specifics.
The premier also notes he is "past the stage of fighting", and hopes a contract is agreed upon by the end of the week.
Yesterday, the premier vowed to end a controversial legislation that banned strike action and imposed a contract on workers.
In return, the union promised to end the strike.
Bill 28 is expected to be rescinded on Monday.
The main point of contention for both parties has been the issue of wages.
CUPE has asked for an annual wage bump of 11.7 percent.
Meanwhile, as part of Bill 28, the province put forth an annual salary increase of 2.5 percent for workers making less than $43,000 and 1.5 percent for all other employees.
