They say it happened Thursday, around 5pm, in the Elizabeth and York Street area, while the woman was walking with a child.
Police tell us the unknown suspect walked up from behind, and picked the woman up by the waist.
She screamed, causing the man to let go and flee, last seen walking on Elizabeth Street to Lake Street.
Police ask if you have video, or dashcam of the event, to give them a call.
