NRP Chief Bill Fordy says officers have had a very busy year, yet remain committed to justice for the vulnerable
It's been a busy year for Niagara regional police officers.
Bill Fordy told the police services board this morning not only have they dealt with 10 murders and 17 traffic fatalities this year, which is an increase from last year, but the child abuse unit looked into a serious assault. "That occurred at a day care, whereby they've been able to bring charges against a 26-year old man for the assaults committed on a person who was under the age of 5-years old."
He applauded the officers.
"It demonstrates our members' commitment to finding justice for many vulnerable persons of our community, and putting in countless hours in pursuit of justice."
