The City of St. Catharines wants to honour those who donate their time to making the community a better place.
Nominations are now open for the City's annual Volunteer and MyHoodSTC Awards.
The awards will be handed out during Canada's National Volunteer Week, which is happening April 18th until the 24th.
The Volunteer awards will be divided into three categories: the Volunteer Recognition Award, the Mayor's Adult of the Year, and the Margaret and Robin MacLennen Youth Volunteer of the Year Award.
Additionally, the MyHoodSTC Awards will give out one Youth Award and one Connection Award from each of the city's six wards.
The Youth Award applies to people under 25 who have taken an active role in their community, and the Connection Award recognizes people who have contributed to the quality of life in the community.
Nominations are open until February 26th.
