Niagara Public Health has reached a milestone in the fight against COVID-19.
Over 300,000 vaccinations have been administered in the region, representing just over 57 percent of the population.
This comes as 29 new cases are confirmed in the area today.
The area's death toll remains unchanged, and there are currently 24 patients with the virus in local hospitals.
Thirteen of those patients are in ICUs.
Throughout Niagara, there are 570 active cases and 10 active outbreaks.
