Region's first-ever climate change summit to be held on June 28th.
The Niagara Region is looking to address the issue of climate change.
On June 28th, the region will hold its first-ever online climate change summit.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Last September, Regional Council passed a motion declaring a climate change emergency.
The Niagara Climate Change Summit will bring together various stakeholders, including senior representatives from the public and private sectors.
The event will include a presentation from climate change expert Karen Farbridge and focus on topics such as the local impacts of climate change in Niagara and ideas to accelerate climate change action.
