Toronto man bringing his 1926 Skate to Gretzky Estates' outdoor rink
On January 26th, Steve McNeil, a Toronto mail carrier and hockey referee, will hit the outdoor rink in Niagara on the Lake as part of his annual 1926 Skate in honour of his Mom who was born in 1926 and who suffered from Alzheimer’s.
Every year for the last 10 years he has skated for 19 hours and 26 minutes.
Donations are being accepted at 1926skate.com with all proceeds going to the local Alzheimer's Society.
