Police say a 3rd party confronted the accused, before giving evidence to police
A 49-year old St. Catharines man has been arrested on child luring charges after he was confronted at his home.
Police determined a 3rd party group using online tactics identified who they believed was a child predator.
They confronted him at his home, before handing evidence over to police.
Late Saturday afternoon police were called to a St. Catharines home for an indecent act call, and yesterday they charged Darren R. Fox with:
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Sexual Interference
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Invitation to Sexual Touching
- Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child
- Making Child Pornography (written and audio recording)
He has a bail hearing today.
Police also believe there are other victims, and say the accused used the online name Brett Donovan.
