A male body was found along the south shore of Lake Erie in Long Point on October 25th, 2022.
UPDATE: The body that was found in Long Point a few months ago has been identified as a missing person from Ohio.
The Norfolk OPP made the announcement yesterday, after further investigation with the Fairport Harbor Police Department.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and police say no further details will be released.

LONG POINT - The Norfolk OPP is asking for the public's help identifying human remains that were found in Long Point.
The male body was found in the water along the south shore of Lake Erie on October 25th, while the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Trenton and Canadian Coast Guard were conducting training exercises.
This person is described as a white man, about 5'10 tall and weighing about 160 to 180 pounds with brown hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie with jeans and black hiking shoes. The hoodie also had a blue, black, and grey "RED MTN" logo.
An autopsy will be conducted in order to determine the exact cause of death.
