A best-selling author and former police investigator wants to be Mayor of Niagara Falls.
We've reached out to Paul Manning, his website shows he's spent over three decades in complex investigations, leadership and public service.
Based in Niagara Falls, he has written about fighting organized crime, and says he promises three things... transparency, accountability and fiscal responsibilty.
He writes his first responsibility as Mayor would be auditing the city's finances, infrastructure and contracts, before more tax money is spent.
He also pledges no property tax increases in years 3 and 4 of the term, 50% reduction in homelessness, and petitioning the province for municipal term limits.
He is running against current Mayor Jim Diodati, Councillor Lori Lococo, Michael Lucid, and Kevin Martineau.
