Arrest made in "Nation River Lady" case
An arrest has been made in connection to a decades old murder case in Ontario.
U.S. authorities have charged 81 year old Rodney Mervyn Nichols of Florida.
He's accused of murdering Jewell Lalla Langford, whose body was found in the Nation River in eastern Ontario in 1975.
In 2020, Langford was identified using forensic genealogy.
Prior to that, the investigation was referred to as the "Nation River Lady" case.
According to US court documents, Nichols was questioned in February 2022.
He initially denied being involved, but later admitted to the murder.
He's due in court in September.
