City says numerous residents have reported frozen plumbing, and many more properties could be affected this winter.
As temperatures drop to below zero, Port Colborne residents are being urged to take steps to protect their pipes.
The City says to avoid frozen water pipes in your home, you should open kitchen, bathroom and laundry cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate around plumbing.
If your pipes are already frozen, you can turn on a tap in the lowest point in the house, or warm the suspected frozen pipe for an hour or two with a blow dryer.
