Flavour Art North America certified Champion level living wage employer.
Flavour Art North America in Beamsville is the latest Niagara business to become a Champion level certified living wage employer.
The Niagara Poverty Network made the announcement this morning.
A living wage reflects the amount workers need to make based on the costs of living in a community.
In Niagara, the living wage is $18.12 an hour.
For employers with compensation packages including dental and prescription drugs, the living wage can be lowered by at least $1.00 an hour.
Stephen Mannell, Director of Finance at Flavour Art North America, says the company is proud to help staff make a living wage, and encourages other businesses to follow suit.
"Making a commitment to a living wage is a natural progression for Flavour Art as we have long prioritized and advocated for our employees. After all, our dedication to Quality, Research, Testing, and Safety begins with our employees. A living wage not only provides a greater sense of financial security, but it also supports the emotional and mental wellbeing of our team."
Flavour Art North America employs 15 people and creates synthetic flavouring and aromas.
