Looking for a new spot to have a drink?
7-Eleven is hoping you might stop by soon and not for just a slurpee.
The chain has applied to the Ontario Alcohol and Gaming Commission for licenses for 61 of its stores to sell beer and wine during limited hours in "designated consumption areas".
The convenience store chain says the booze would compliment its push into fresh and hot foods.
Of the 61 stores, nine are in Niagara including, Grimsby, Welland, Port Colborne, Niagara Falls and St. Catharines.
The AGCO says the applications are now in the public notice phase and members of the community can file objection on their website
