Police were called after man forced his way into woman's Fort Erie home Monday afternoon
A 25-year old man of no fixed address is facing charges after a domestic complaint in Fort Erie.
Police were called just before 3 Monday afternoon, to a house in the Oakhill Forest area, to find a man had forced his way into a woman's home, made threats and refused to leave.
She was not in the house, was able to call police, and was not hurt.
Police arrested the suspect at 10:30 that night, after getting a warrant.
He is facing an assault charge, mischief under $5,000, 2 counts of uttering threats, 2 counts of failing to comply with probation, and possession of a weapon contrary to a probation order.
The accused was held in custody pending a video bail hearing in St. Catharines.
Police add his name will not be released to protect the identity of the woman.
