Damage estimated at about $300,000
A woman has been hospitalized after a fire in St. Catharines.
Just after 6:00 p.m. last night, emergency crews were called to a home on Doncaster Blvd.
A man escaped shortly after fire fighters arrived, and a woman was removed without vital signs.
Firefighters revived her by performing CPR, and she was taken to hospital in critical condition.
According to the Standard, damage is pegged at about $300,000.
The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to investigate, and there is no word yet on what caused it.
