Police say at this time of the year, criminals are watching
A reminder from Niagara Regional police to be wary of criminals looking for vehicles to steal at this time of the year.
The NRP says with the colder weather, there's a heightened risk, as thieves look for vehicles left running to warm up, especially with keys left in the ignition.
Also, farm trucks are vulnerable when keys are left in the ignition, or stored in accessible locations.
Police are reminding everyone to never leave your vehicle alone, even as it warms up.
Secure pick-up trucks used on a farm, with keys in safe location.
